Eva Jablonka is very interesting--she and Marion Lamb have written extensively about the role of epigenetics in evolution, and how epigenetics may or may not represent a Lamarckian inheritence system. They wrote Evolution in 4 dimensions (http://www.amazon.com/Evolution-Four-Dimensions-Epigenetic-Philosophical/dp/0262101076). I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in this topic!
